Kingdom // Shalom
There is a point, having experienced moments of feeling both close to God and distant from him, where we begin to discover a deeply profound sense of peace. Almost mysteriously, we find that there is a peace that emanates at the deepest levels of our souls. The hebrew people called this “Shalom”, and we want to wrestle with that concept and see how it applies to us today as kingdom people.
And once again, we will start with the Exodus narrative. The Exodus story tells of how the Israelites experienced God through their time in the wilderness. At times this movement parallels our own journey with God. Could there be something in this story for us?
