Connect Groups

Connect Groups

Community is a key value to the Christian life.

We weren’t made to be alone, we were made to share and be in relationship.

Connect groups, at Shore Vineyard, are a place to love God and to love others – both the friends we know, and the strangers we are yet to meet. Together we can experience God, do life together and love the lost in this world.

Our Connect Groups are in three formats, House Groups that meet regularly for fellowship, growth and support, Action Groups such as Alpha, Happy Conversation and Mainly Music meeting for a specific purpose and the Informal Groups which help us to maintain community in a time-challenged and often chaotic world.

Shore Vineyard Connect groups are wonderful places to meet new friends and go deeper with each other and with God. A range of ways to connect and engage with each other and with God in addition to our fabulous services on Sunday at 10AM and 6PM.

House Groups

Normally meet in a person’s house and are welcoming and including. These are groups where long term friendships can be developed and where we can be ourselves. Groups tend to follow the school term and will start again in May. Some are every week others meet on the first and third weeks of the month. Contact the leader for details.

Informal groups:

We have informal groups usually signposted on the Shore Vineyards Facebook page, watch the slides in the foyer or the weekly notices for announcements. These can range from the legend that is Men’s Curry Night, advertised by word of mouth, to the Facebook pages like Shore Vineyard Families and Shore Vineyard Young Adults where events are organized round our chaotic schedules. More to come.

If any of these groups interest you please contact the host, or if you have thought of a great area we could be covering come and talk to Sandy in the office or on Sunday.  027 895 2296 sandy@svc.org.nz
